Why you should wake up to pray at night
The bible says that while men slept the enemy came and sowed thares amongst the wheat. (Matt 13:25) "But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way." Every activity that defines a man happens in the spirit, one must be awake in the spirit, you can sleep but your spirit man is active, but that means that you have done enough work in prayers while you are awake. The Devil is out for people both physically and spiritually, when you engage in midnight prayers God gives you authority and power to cancel whatsoever the Devil has planned.
Below I will be giving you some reasons why you should wake up to pray at night
1. It is sacrificial: Sacrificial Prayers tend to answer more than just praying the normal way, when you pray at night you sacrifice your sleep for devotion with God (Psalms 50:5) "“Gather My godly ones to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.” When you wake up to pray at night you are giving the extra push which often time yields results than ever.
2. It gives you power over spirit that roam about the night: There are powers that operate mostly at night; hence the scripture says "while men slept, the enemy came and sowed tares amongst the wheat." When you are active at night these powers will not be able to steal from you, they will not be able to sow tares amongst the wheat (destroy the good things that God has in store for you)
3. Because we see it done in scriptures: In the scripture we see that not Just Jesus prayed at night but even his disciples did the same (1 Thess 3:10) "as we night and day keep praying most earnestly that we may see your face, and may complete what is lacking in your faith." This was the Apostle Paul saying that night and day they kept praying and interceding for the saints, this is very intriguing because they woke up at night to pray for the saints
4. You take charge of the day: when you pray at night you take charge of that day because most times it is the early hours of the day. (Job 38:12) "Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place." The bible says have you ever commanded the morning since your days? You have to wake up at midnight to command the morning and then you will see the hand of God throughout the day.
