Isaiah 49:24-26
24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Charge:
when a person has done something deserving of him to be in captivity.
e.g you commit a crime and you get arrested and sentenced to jail. you are a lawful captive.your captivity is justified.the law itself sentences you to that captivity.
now when God proposes to release a lawful captive He is offering to find a legal way to save the prisoner from the demands of the Law that the prisoner has broken. When man sinned he became the lawful captive of death, because the sentence is justified and deserved, man is a lawful captive. Now for God to save man he offers a way out, a marvellous solution called The Plan of Redemption, he gave his only begotten son Jesus to redeem man from lawful captivity. It is based on this knowledge that we will pray, because many people are afflicted because of lawful captivity, Sins of parents, their own sins and personal things that they have done that has kept them in captivity, but the word of God assures in Isaiah 49:25 that the lawful captive will be set free and that the enemies will eat their own flesh and drink their own blood
As you Pray these Prayer points today, the Lord will deliver you from every lawful captivity and will turn things around in your favour this Month
