Isaiah 45:1-2
Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron
Charge: The Lord is saying that he has anointed Cyrus the king for the deliverance of his people. According to the Bible, Cyrus the Great, king of the Achaemenid Empire, was the monarch who ended the Babylonian captivity. In the first year of his reign he was prompted by God to decree that the Temple in Jerusalem should be rebuilt and that Jews who wished to could return to their homeland for this purpose could depart. although the Jews needed to build a temple for God but they were not so much giving themselves to it, because they were bound by fear, discouragement and uncertainty, but God created a Cyrus that made a way for the Children of God.
