Matthew 2:1-9
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
*Sermon:* The star of a person can symbolise a Person’s existence, it can also symbolise a person’s destiny, the star can represent the Glory a person brought into this world, Jesus's star was monitored because it was unique and because it shined brightest, the bigger the star the bigger the glory and also the bigger the battle. The star of Jesus was monitored by the wise men, the wise men were from the east where astrology, star gazing, and all manner of demon worship was prevailent. they had good intentions for Jesus but they told the wrong person (Herod) about the star that they had seen and he enquired more about the star and about Jesus himself and sought for a way to kill Jesus. Many people do not know that their stars are still being monitored, the enemy doesn't like any good thing, his mission is to steal to kill and to destroy, his mission is to kill the star of people, he has killed the brightest star in some families I.e the brightest shining light, it can be the most industrious child, brilliant Child, The Child most likely to help the parents, but before a star is killed it is first of all monitored, notice what Herod did in Matt 2:7 "Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared." Herod called them in Secret and enquired what time the star appeared, herod also began to monitor the timing of the star "...what time the star appeared" that phrase in the passage is important that we look into, that herod through the wise men began monitoring the star and gaining information about Jesus, but Herod failed even though he killed children from age two below he never succeeded in aborting God's plan.
As you Pray these Prayer points, God will give you victory over powers monitoring the star of your destiny in the name name of Jesus

1. Thank God for his goodness upon your life and the victory he has given you so far, he is worthy to be praised
2. Every Herod monitoring my star, i command you to die in the name of Jesus.
3. Whoever wage war with my star will receive God's rod of judgement in the name of Jesus
4. My star will not be quenched by those who are not sleeping to fight me in the name of Jesus.
5. Every monitoring spirit assigned to kill my star you shall not succeed, i command you to die in the name of Jesus.
6. Every monitoring Spirit caging my star, die, in the name of Jesus.
7. If they could not kill the star of Jesus no monitoring spirit can kill my star in Jesus name
8. Let the Holy Ghost arrest every destiny assasin assigned against me.
9. Holy Spirit destroy the power behind any monitoring power troubling my life, in Jesus name.
10. Every household power monitoring my star, explode and die, in Jesus name.
11. Every fiery flying serpent monitoring my destiny fall into hot coal, stretch and die in Jesus name.
