Matthew 16:15-18
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
*Sermon:* To walk in authority you must know who Jesus is by yourself, you must have a personal relationship with God, Jesus was teaching the people and he asked who people taught he was and then he turned to Peter to ask him who he taught he was and Peter said that he was Christ the son of the living God. The response of Jesus to Peter was that flesh and blood has not revealed it to Peter, this goes to show that Peter had a revelation of who Jesus was, we need a Personal relationship with God and a Personal revelation of who Jesus is to walk in authority, there might be some general things that you know about Jesus because of the revelation that others have caught about him and shared, but beyond that you also need a Personal relationship with the holyspirit to have a Personal revelation of the holyspirit. If you want to walk in great authority you must know Jesus for yourself.
