How to break the yoke of inherited
Foundational powers

When it comes to foundational powers, depending on how it started there are different ways to address and to tackle it, but here we are looking at inherited foundational powers, inherited foundational powers are problems that the victim was not directly involved in, this are sufferings that are either passed from person to person, or sufferings that one encounter on behalf of another. It can come by way of curses, repentance from idol worship, family patterns, sins of our fathers etc. remember (Exodus 20:5) " You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me."
How to know if your problems where inherited
1. Pay attention to details in your family: There are so many people who do not know much about the family they come from, for one reason or the other, you need to pay more details to events and occurrences in your family to be able to elicit certain facts, in this generation people are more than ever separated from their extended family, and original family homes, this makes it difficult for them to have an understanding about what is happening and the problems that are dominant in the family, every opportunity you have ask questions so that you can know if your problems were inherited from your family, when it comes to inherited problems there are two dimensions to it
I. Selective
II. Total
I. selective: This occurs when the family problems affect some selected people in the family, every one might be involved in that atrocity but some selected are punished (Exodus 12:29) "Now it came about at midnight that the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of cattle." We see in this scripture that Pharaoh was the one who sinned by disobeying God but only the firstborns were killed, this kind affects a particular group of people or a person, it could affect men alone, women alone, firstborns, lastborns etc.
II. Total: This involves every one in the family, there is no exemption except those who have prayed and are delivered or those who have cooperated or alligned with the devil which in any case leads to destruction, in this kind of situation when you notice this, you can come together as a family to pray for family deliverance.
2. Through your dreams and messages: You can also know if your problems are inherited through the dreams you are having or the messages that God deliver to you through his servants, if you always have dreams about your village, masquerade or someone in the family chasing you, wild animals chasing you, oppression by hefty people, farming in your village, father's compound, or you see grand parents in relation to negative things then there is a problem, occasionally you might see yourself in your father's compound or you see the examples cited above but it might not mean anything it could even mean victory, but you know a dream is bad when it occurs frequently and how it occurs, but the most important thing that guides you is your spirit, something tells you that it is not right.
3. Observe patterns in your family: When you observe patterns in your family and compare it with your own situation you can easily know whether your problems are inherited or not, if you experience delay in marriage, you check others in your family if they experience the same or barrenness, you look at those with similar situations, then you can know whether it is a curse or a sin from your ancestors that is still at work in your life
Steps to overcoming inherited battles
1. Accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour: If you are not born again that is the first, when you accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour you have a level of victory already (Gal 3:13) "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ). Jesus came to die for our sins so that we can be delivered from every sting of hell, curses and foundational powers inclusive, so accepting him is very key, and not Just accepting him but also living for him as well.
2. Deliverance fasting and Prayers: you deliberately go before God and tell him to deliver you from that Satanic Spirit that is enforcing that occurrence, because for every evil occurrence happening in the life of a person there is an evil Spirit behind it to enforce and activate that occurrence, when dealing with these issues you have to be committed to serious deliverance prayers, asking God for mercy, you can devote one whole month for this
Week 1: Pray for mercy (eph 2:4-5), (Psalms 50&51)
Week 2: pray for deliverance from curses layed
upon your family (Gal 3:13), (Prov 26:2)
Week 3: Pray for deliverance from idol worship (Judg 6:25-32), (Exod 20:4-6)
Week 4: pray against the family stronghold or
principality enforcing this (Eph 6:12), (Psalms 35).
Pray this prayer points
1. Ohhh Lord teach my hands to war and my fingers to do
battle in the name of Jesus
2. Ohh Lord fight for me and deliver me from inherited foundational battles
3. Every curse layed upon my family is cancelled by fire
4. Every power of obstruction from my father's house be nullified
5. I rebuke those from my household contending with my life and destiny in the name of Jesus
